ANGELA QUINN

Angela Quinn is thrilled to be back at KAS directing and teaching such talented and passionate performers in our community. Angela is also a casting director in the film & television industry and she is a member of the Casting Society of America (CSA), the Casting Director’s Society of Canada (CDC) and she is a voting member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television (ACCT). Some of the past main stage shows that Angela has directed at KAS were Sister Act, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, A Christmas Carol, White Christmas, Anne of Green Gables, along with countless junior productions such as The Lion King, Aladdin, Madagascar, Beauty & The Beast, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and so many more!Angela has directed a variety of musical productions for theatre companies across the region and she has an extensive background in dance and musical theatre. She is featured as a singer, actor & dancer in the TV movie musical, ‘Bye Bye Birdie’ and she is so thankful to have been able to work so extensively in the theatre, dance and film industries for the past 3 decades. She is also enjoying working with the Young Performers Company at KAS and is very proud of the accomplishments that the young performers have achieved.In 2023, Angela was honoured to have been named a finalist for ‘Woman of the Year’ which was presented by the Kelowna Women in Business organization as part of the annual Rise Awards, sponsored by BDC. She is so thankful to have such a supportive and wonderful theatre family at KAS and she looks forward to getting behind the director’s chair again for more KAS main stage shows to come.
