Embark on a timeless journey to the enchanting world of Oz as Kelowna Actors Studio proudly presents the classic stage musical, "The Wizard of Oz."
This beloved tale written by L. Frank Baum, immortalized on both screen and stage, comes to life in a dazzling spectacle of song, dance, and theatrical magic. Audiences of all ages will be swept away by the adventures of Dorothy and her iconic companions—the Scarecrow, the Tinman, and the Cowardly Lion—as they follow the Yellow Brick Road to meet the Wizard, encountering whimsical characters and overcoming challenges along the way.
The talented cast is led by Mila Prasad, captivating as Dorothy, Kirk Holland's whimsical portrayal of the Scarecrow, Mark Wells adding heart to the Tinman, and Nathan Flavel bounding into the role of the Cowardly Lion. Local newcomer Ollie is excited to take on the challenging role of Toto and promises to steal the show.
An ensemble full of Okanagan favorites, the cast also features Chris Iversen (Marvel/The Wizard), Emily MacArthur (Aunt Em/Glinda), Janet Anderston (Miss Gulch/The Wicked Witch) and Chris Derochie (Uncle Henry/The Guard) promising to evoke the wonder and nostalgia that has made "The Wizard of Oz" a cherished classic.
This presentation is Directed by Randy Leslie, with Music Direction by Spencer Bach, Choreography by Rhiannon Graham-Knapp, and Stage Management by Skylar Naimain.
