Kelowna Actors Studio has another musical featuring some of Kelowna‘s finest vocal talents with its show, Sweet Charity. Tracy Ross does a magnificent job of bringing out both the playful and vulnerable side of Charity Valentine, the dance hall girl looking for love.
Randy Leslie plays the part of the neurotic boyfriend she meets when the two get trapped in an elevator together and when you put the vocal talents of these two together in a show, it‘s a recipe for success.
What makes this production truly soar, however, is the addition of such an incredibly strong supporting cast. Sarah McCall and Kelly Whelan could have easily stolen the show if Ross and Leslie were not so strong. And when the full chorus of girls sing Hey Big Spender and dance, well, they truly do it up right!
Sweet Charity continues its run at KAS until April 17, tickets at their box office, website or by calling 250-862-2867.
