South Pacific Opens to Standing O!

Kelowna Actors Studio opened South Pacific to a standing ovation on Thursday night and for a good reason -- they have once again put together a rock solid cast, Gwen Plitt sparkles as Nurse Nellie and Mark Sorestad nearly steals the show as Luther Billis. Huge congratulations to Kelowna Actors Studio for its production of Into the Woods. I managed to catch opening night and have to say it is my favourite KAS production I've seen in a few years. The Sondheim score is brilliant and the casting for this production is second to none. I was hard pressed to remember these are not full time professional performers because they have taken it up to the highest standard.Full Story"It's a Recipe for Success"

Kelowna Actors Studio has another musical featuring some of Kelowna‘s finest vocal talents with its show, Sweet Charity. Tracy Ross does a magnificent job of bringing out both the playful and vulnerable side of Charity Valentine, the dance hall girl looking for love. Randy Leslie plays the part of the neurotic boyfriend she meets when the two get trapped in an elevator together and when you put the vocal talents of these two together in a show, it‘s a recipe for success.
