Welcome to our 8th Season, where happiness happens. A year full of award-winning classics, both old and new. It’s sure to be the biggest in Kelowna Actors Studio history, with some of the most recognizable shows of our time and all in truly spectacular 3-D!
We open the season with an invisible white rabbit named HARVEY, who stands at least six feet tall (somewhere between 6' 1" and 6' 6"), stops clocks with a glance, makes things vanish, helps people re-experience memories, and knows just about everything! A classic comedy, fantasy, Halloween treat for the entire family.
Just in time for the holidays comes a delightful new stage adaptation of this classic yuletide movie WHITE CHRISTMAS. Join us for the sparkling holiday package filled with splashy dance numbers, treasured songs and enough heartwarming nostalgia to make your days merry and bright!
Next we take you to Brighton Beach to celebrate love with your valentine. It’s a hilarious classic comedy and one of Neil Simon’s finest plays full of laughter, tears and love - BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS.
Welcome spring with the dance and movement of one of the most innovative and influential choreographers of the 20th Century - Fosse! Do you want to have fun? Join us as we present another Neil SImon classic, SWEET CHARITY!
Classic fairy tales come to life in our May production with a bit of a twist! Sondheim’s musical INTO THE WOODS takes the Actors Studio stage. Winner of three Tony Awards, four Drama Desk, one Grammy and one Theatre World Award. It’s sure to be one of your favourites.
Ending our season is one of the finest shows ever written. The classic Rodgers and Hammerstien musical SOUTH PACIFIC has returned from the past to give us lessons about the future. It reminds us of who we were and who we can become.
Also new this year, you can look forward to eight productions! Yes, along with our regular six-show subscription season, you can now add on the MUSIC STAND SERIES. Presented in a ‘concert style’ with music stands, we will bring to the stage two more classics including Rodgers and Hammerstein’s, CAROUSEL and Cole Porter’s ANYTHING GOES.
